The First 15 Minutes: A LoFi Morning Ritual for Joy and Imagination

There are approximately 8.29 billion people on this planet. WHAT? Did you know that because I didn’t. The last I heard, we were in the 7 billion range.

With that said, 8.29 billion people also means 8.29 billion sources of noise.

Distraction is the enemy of connection. You can’t truly connect with yourself or anyone else if you’re drowning in inputs the moment you wake up.

I call a morning like this “the borrowed morning.” You wake up, check your phone, and suddenly the outside noise has influenced your internal state through text messages, feeds, and emails. You are suddenly reacting to the world’s demands before you’ve had a chance to meet yours.

This is where the 15-minute LoFi Morning changes the game.

We can rarely predict the chaos of the day, but we have absolute authority over those first 15 minutes. A LofFi Morning gives you a brief window of autonomy where you can tune out the noise and invite the good in. No phones, no distractions, just you.

The Routine

Step 1: A powerful sentence to begin your day:

“Today, no matter where I go, I will make the world a more peaceful, loving, and joyful place.” –Sadhguru

Instead of letting the world’s chaos influence you, you decide how you influence the world. You can say this out loud, repeat it in your head, or even whisper it to yourself.

Step 2: Imagine your dream life

Take the remaining time to visualize your dream life or a specific goal. Don’t just think about it- feel like you already have it. Give gratitude for already having it. Visualization isn’t just wishful thinking; it is a creative act. It helps to pull your brain out of survival mode (Drama, Doom, Delight) and into “architect mode”.

That’s all.

Do these two things in the first 15 minutes of your day and see how your life changes : )
